His Excellency Dr. Morie Komba Manyeh, Sierra Leone\u2019s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, has been elected Chairman of the Commonwealth Foundation Grants Committee.<\/p>\n

The Commonwealth Foundation Grants Committee plays a vital role in fostering participatory governance across the Commonwealth. It oversees the allocation and management of grants to civil society organizations (CSOs) to support initiatives that empower citizens to engage in decision-making processes and advance sustainable development goals (SDGs).<\/p>\n

As Chairman, Dr. Manyeh will lead a committee composed of representatives from Commonwealth member states and civil society experts. Together, they will ensure that grant funding is allocated equitably and effectively to projects promoting inclusion, transparency, and accountability. Particular emphasis will be placed on initiatives involving marginalized groups such as women, youth, and people with disabilities.<\/p>\n
