On the evening of Friday, November 21, 2025, in Palma de Mallorca, Spain, His Excellency Dr. Morie Komba Manyeh was honoured with the *Diplomatic Leadership & Global Policy Impact Award*, recognising his outstanding contributions to diplomacy, governance, and global policy advancement. The ceremony was organised as a part of the *Clevenard Media Award 2025* event, hosted by *Clevenard*, a reputable international media and awards organization that celebrates global excellence, bringing  together leaders, policymakers, entrepreneurs, and innovators committed to driving transformative change across sectors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Also present and receiving awards in various categories were personalities like Honorable Charles Gaetan Xavier-Luc Duval, Leader of the Parti Mauricien Social D\u00e9mocrate (PMSD);<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mrs. Neo Jane Masisi, former First Lady of Botswana;<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Danisa E. Baloyi, a prominent South African businesswoman, and Executive Chairman of Glow Africa Investment Holdings (GAI); Mrs. Binta A. Dala, Nigerian Minister-Counsellor and Charg\u00e9 d\u2019Affaires a.i. at the Nigerian Embassy in Madrid, Spain; Hon. Senator Linda Nxumalo, member of the Senate of the Kingdom of Eswatini; and<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Thandeka E. Ellenson, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Moses Kotane Research Institute.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Manyeh, who currently serves as Sierra Leone\u2019s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland, also holds accreditation to several other countries, including Cyprus, Denmark, Finland, and Norway. Since assuming this office in 2019, he has represented Sierra Leone on major global platforms, consistently advocating for inclusive development, regional cooperation, and sustainable policy frameworks that benefit nations across Africa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His selection for this year\u2019s award is strongly tied to his impactful leadership as *Chairman of the Commonwealth Foundation Grants Committee*, where he has overseen initiatives that promote transparency, strengthen institutional accountability, and elevate citizen participation throughout the Commonwealth. His contributions at international forums, including *the Oxford Africa Conference* and *the Chatham House Policy Roundtable on Africa\u2019s Energy Transition*, further reflect his commitment to shaping Africa\u2019s role in global policy and development discourse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Before entering the diplomatic arena, Dr. Manyeh served as Sierra Leone\u2019s *Minister of Mines and Mineral Resources*, where he strengthened governance and oversight in the country\u2019s strategic mineral sector. His earlier career spans more than *three decades in academia*, with teaching and research roles across Africa, Europe, and North America, supported by a PhD from the University of Leeds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to his service in government and education, Dr. Manyeh has held significant leadership positions with *the West African Examinations Council (WAEC)*, *the Central Bank of Sierra Leone*, *the Sierra Leone Opportunities Industrialisation Centre*, and *the National Commission for Democracy*. He also played an important *humanitarian role* during Sierra Leone\u2019s civil conflict, coordinating emergency responses and supporting community resilience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reflecting on the honour, Dr. Manyeh used the moment to recognise Sierra Leone\u2019s national leadership and pay tribute to the strength of its people, stating:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Manyeh\u2019s latest honour underscores his lifelong dedication to good governance, education, peacebuilding, and global engagement, while affirming Sierra Leone\u2019s growing influence in international policy development and constructive diplomacy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
