Exactly one month after his passing to the land of eternity, Rev. Smart Kelson Senesie, the SLPP National Chaplain, was laid to rest on Sunday 08\/02\/2026 in his native Moyamba town.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While the funeral unfolded in Moyamba, Deputy High Commissioner Mrs. Yvonne King Odigboh joined SLPP UK & Ireland mourners, led by Chairman Alhajie Mohamed Jalloh, at a Thanksgiving Service in Bermondsey, London, honouring the life of the revered clergyman, who passed away on 08\/01\/2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reflecting on his life, following the service, the Deputy High Commissioner remarked, \u201cRev. Senesie dedicated his life to uplifting others; his legacy of faith and service will continue to inspire us all.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the Bermondsey Central Hall Methodist Church, mourners sang hymns and listened to eulogies tracing Rev. Senesie\u2019s journey, from his early years in Moyamba, through MBSS and to Freetown\u2019s Albert Academy, on to Fourah Bay College, and back to a teaching role  at Hafford School for Girls. His life was marked by faith, hard work, and service to humanity, ministering to minds and souls wherever he went. From the classroom to the pulpit, he left an enduring impact on countless lives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The service, officiated by Rev. Patrick Gbanie Kandeh and Rev. Christopher Alusine Sandy, was filled with heartfelt tributes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In his address, SLPP UK & Ireland Chairman Alhajie Mohamed Jalloh described Rev. Senesie as a devoted brother, uncle, father, and colleague, highlighting his lifelong commitment to service and faith. He underlined that the Reverend \u201cwas a true role model, a man of faith, and a patriot who worked tirelessly to promote unity, love, and togetherness.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chairman Jalloh recalled his roles as the SLPP District Chairman for Moyamba, the party\u2019s National Chaplain, CEO of the Sierra Leone Road Safety Authority, and Reverend of the United Methodist Church.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chairman Alhajie Mohamed Jalloh began by conveying condolences from the SLPP Leader, His Excellency President Julius Maada Bio, and the National Chairman Mr. Jimmy Batilo Songa, and concluded with a prayer that Rev. Senesie\u2019s soul rests in perfect peace, and that his family and all who loved him find comfort in God\u2019s eternal care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Scripture Readings were done by Mrs. Abigail Kaikai, Mrs. Anita Lauretta Davies, and Ms. Konima Bachalle Taylor, with Dr. Umu Kabba Conteh adding a  touching and insightful angle depicting their student days at Fourah Bay College.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
