On Saturday, 14th February 2026, His Excellency Dr Morie Komba Manyeh represented the Sierra Leone High Commission at the Bo Government Secondary School Old Boys Association (OBBA UK & Ireland) Annual Valentine Dinner and Dance, held at Boothroyd Hall in Essex.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The popular fundraising event brought together alumni, friends, and supporters for an evening marked by warmth, merriment, and camaraderie. The gathering not only celebrated enduring bonds among members but also reinforced a shared commitment to giving back. Proceeds from the event will support ongoing educational and developmental initiatives championed by the association, reflecting the strong spirit of service within the diaspora community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Earlier that same evening, Deputy High Commissioner Mrs Yvonne King Odigboh joined members of the Sierra Leone People\u2019s Party (SLPPUK&I) at the party\u2019s regional general meeting on Pennack Road in South East London. She was welcomed by the Regional Chairman, Alhajie Mohamed Jalloh, along with executive members and party supporters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the meeting, members deliberated on a range of key matters affecting the SLPPUK&I region, including a detailed presentation of the regional Financial Report. Discussions focused on strengthening organizational structures, promoting accountability, and enhancing positive participation among members.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Both engagements underscore the High Commission\u2019s ongoing commitment to meaningful community outreach and engagement.
