Earlier this evening at the RAC Club, Pall Mall, London, H.E. Dr. Morie Komba Manyeh attended the launch of The Uncommon Enemy by Isha Johansen, a trailblazing Sierra Leonean football administrator and advocate for women\u2019s participation in sport across Africa and beyond.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In his remarks, Dr. Manyeh praised Madam Johansen for her pioneering leadership, while emphasizing the importance of documenting personal experiences as \u201can act of courage, reflection, and contribution to history and humanity.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He also highlighted the power of writing to preserve history, inspire dialogue, and amplify diverse voices, noting:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThis occasion reminds us of the importance of encouraging Sierra Leoneans, especially women and young people, to share their stories, preserve their experiences, and contribute to intellectual and cultural discourse.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Manyeh further encouraged everyone to \u201cread the book,\u201d allowing Isha Johansen the opportunity to tell her own story. \u201cThe rest of us can draw our individual conclusions when we have heard or read the story,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
