The Sierra Leone High Commissioner to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, His Excellency Dr. Morie Komba Manyeh yesterday, 21/03/2022, signed the book of condolence at the High Commission of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, London.
This was to mark the passing of former Pakistani president Mr. Muhammad Rafiq Tarar.

Mr. Tarar was a politician and a jurist who served as the ninth president of Pakistan, from January 1998 until his resignation in June 2001.

Following the signing ceremony HE Dr. Morie Manyeh had a brief engagement with the acting Pakistani High Commissioner, HE Dr.Faisal Aziz Ahmed, during which the Sierra Leone High Commissioner further expressed messages of condolences from the government and people of Sierra Leone to the government and people of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan on the sad occasion of their loss.

Pakistan and Sierra Leone continue to enjoy strong bilateral as well as multilateral relations spanning through the decades, and the Islamic Republic was one of the key contributors to the international peace keeping force that helped bring back peace to Sierra Leone following the brutal Revolutionary United Front (RUF) war of the 1990s.
