His Excellency Dr. Morie Komba Manyeh, Sierra Leone’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, proudly represented the nation during this year’s *Sovereign’s Parade* at the world-renowned *Royal Military Academy Sandhurst*, the historic home of the British Army’s Officer Corps.

The *Sovereign’s Parade* is one of the most prestigious events in the British Army calendar, marking the formal commissioning of Officer Cadets who have successfully completed the academy’s demanding training programme. This year’s ceremony celebrated the commissioning of *Course 243*, a distinguished cohort of cadets from the United Kingdom and across the globe.

Sierra Leone was proudly represented among the graduates by Officer Cadet Umaru Mattia, who completed the rigorous and highly respected training programme. His accomplishment highlights not only personal excellence and steadfast commitment but also the enduring contribution of Sierra Leoneans to global endeavours, including international military leadership

Dr. Manyeh’s presence at the parade reaffirmed Sierra Leone’s long-standing defence and diplomatic ties with the United Kingdom and underscored the nation’s pride in honouring its citizens who achieve commendable success and reach significant milestones.
