Last evening (03/07/2026),
Mrs. Juliana S.H. Fallah, Minister Plenipotentiary and Head of Chancery at the Sierra Leone High Commission in London, attended the Milton Margai Alumni UK & I Cultural event held at Lambeth Town Hall in Brixton, South East London.
A proud alumna of the then Milton Margai College of Education and Technology, now Milton Margai Technical University, Mrs. Fallah expressed her delight at seeing alumni reunite to celebrate their shared heritage, strengthen lifelong friendships, and promote unity within the Sierra Leonean community in the United Kingdom.
Now known as Milton Margai Technical University, the institution has long been one of Sierra Leone’s foremost centres of teacher education and technical training. Through its evolution from the former Milton Margai Teachers College and later the Milton Margai College of Education and Technology, the university has trained generations of teachers, educators, and professionals who have made invaluable contributions to Sierra Leone’s education sector and national development. Its graduates continue to distinguish themselves in classrooms, public service, academia, and other professions both at home and across the diaspora.

Last night, Mrs. Fallah commended the Milton Margai Alumni UK & I Executive for organizing an event that not only honoured the institution’s rich legacy but also fostered networking, cultural appreciation, and stronger community ties among graduates, friends, and supporters of the university. She encouraged the association to continue building bridges that inspire future generations while preserving the cherished values and traditions of their alma mater.
Mrs. Fallah also underscored the vital role alumni associations play in supporting their institutions by strengthening professional networks, mentoring students and young graduates, promoting institutional achievements, and mobilising resources that contribute to continued growth and development. Such associations, she noted, serve as enduring ambassadors for their alma mater, helping to preserve valuable legacy while fostering a culture of service, excellence, and giving back.

The Cultural Evening brought together alumni, friends, and supporters for a festivity of music, entertainment, and fellowship, reflecting the association’s theme: “*Celebrating Our Heritage. Uniting Our Community*.”
The MCs for the occasion were Mr. Mohamed Saduku Dabo and

Ms. Marinna Jarette.
