After a commendable stretch of determined corporate climb, the republic of Sierra Leone has at long last arrived on the page-turning stage of Energy exploration and entrepreneurship.
As an essential undertaking in the execution of its multifaceted task, a small but solid team from the Sierra Leone Petroleum Directorate (SLPD), led by its sharp Director General, Engr. Foday Mansaray, is in London for an ‘Africa global Energy Summit’. The three-day conference is not just taking an in-depth look into the technical and commercial presentations on petroleum exploitation but it would also be exploring “Transition Technologies that would quantifiably reduce greenhouse gas emissions across the value chain” while working on partnering with all key players to help decarbonise operations.
A main sponsor of the summit, Schlumberger, is a technology giant representing over 150 nationalities. Schlumberger which has built its reputation on 95 years of working with partners to access energy has huge experience within the energy sector and enjoys a clear reputation as “the leading energy service provider of upstream and midstream solutions” and is extensively equipped with “rapidly developing digital capabilities”.
As the world continues to roll forward, on the Engine of Energy, the global development will keep reinventing itself on the wheels of technology.
