On Thursday this week, Deputy High Commissioner Mrs. Yvonne King Odigboh attended a Service of Thanksgiving and Reflection to mark the 80th anniversary of Christian Aid—a faith-based international development organisation founded in 1945 by British and Irish churches in response to the refugee crisis after World War II.
Over the decades, Christian Aid has grown into a leading voice for social justice, working in partnership with communities across Africa, Asia, the Middle East, and Latin America. The organisation focuses on eradicating poverty, promoting sustainable development, and responding to humanitarian emergencies, while advocating for climate justice, gender equality, and fairer global systems
